How you can help
There are 3 main ways in which you can help us; donating your greetings cards, making and selling cards as well as buying Community Cards.
We are always grateful for other forms of support and welcome new ideas. Volunteers currently help us with fundraising and grant applications, collecting and delivering stock, as Trustees and through corporate social responsibility activities.
The demand for Community Cards is ever growing, and we need volunteers to join the team! Below are a few more things you could do to help.
Selling Community Cards
Community Cards are sold in local offices, schools, churches and businesses.
We have a variety of display stands which will neatly fit on a windowsill, table or counter. Posters show prices and contact details.
Please contact us if you could start selling Community Cards where you work, enjoy leisure time, study or worship.
Leading a Community Cards group
Groups can meet in a dining room, church or village hall or a college classroom.
We would love to hear from you if you’re interested in discussing the establishment of a new Community Cards group.
- It is important to initially think about your team of volunteers and what they can bring to the group and what positive benefits they would receive from belonging to a group.
- Can you apply for any local grants to cover the initial set up costs? If this is not possible don’t be put off.
- Think next about where you would collect used cards and where the upcycled Community Cards will be sold.
- We can then offer a training session or two to get you started and continual support and guidance during the set up phase.
To discuss your ideas after thinking through the points above please send us an email to get the ball rolling!
